Priority seats huh

What the hell is the problem with the priority seats anyway? I knew i should have anticipated these random bullshit when surfing stomp randomly but i didn’t know it was of such magnitude.

The “priority” seats dont have eyes or mouths, if you want the seat, fucking open your mouth and ask for it. The seats won’t automatically eject the incosiderate blind cock sitting on them because the deaf-mute idiots don’t ask for the seats. If you need the seat, ASK. Taking pictures won’t make the plastic any smarter.

There are even some loser stompers SITTING down taking photos of these “inconsiderate acts”. Here’s a hint, if you are so free to take a photo of other people, why don’t you GIVE UP YOUR OWN SEAT? OH, SORRY it’s not a priority seat!

This is the problem with the “system” (i hate this bloody word). When SMRT put up the “priority seat” sign, people at “non-priority seat”s have no obligation to give up their seats, because it’s after all, not a priority seat.

Some women don’t even give up their seat to fellow women who are pregnant or with kids. Women want gender equality? Then give up your seat like a gentleman. The problem with singaporean women is they want equal rights, equal pay, but expect preferential treatment.

American women have gender equality because they do not expect preferential treatment.

Korean women prefer to be treated like women (wtf am i saying) but they are not bitching about equality.

Singaporean women special, they want to have their cake and eat it too.

It’s not because the students are incapable of making a teleport script that forces you to be teleported to another island.

It’s because Linden Labs DELIBERATELY disabled inter-island teleportation via objects due to widespread abuse of force teleportation objects.

You’ve got to really open your mind and be a little more flexible, and stop asking really dumb questions, it lowers the already shitty impression others have of you, Mr RPGMaker-can-make-website-smarty-pants.

But its really gone too far when they have to scrimp and save on even software, especially those meant for major projects.

Remember all my major project rants? Apparently “team falcon” isn’t the only group who has had to put up with the GET-bullshit. Even the RPGmaker team got their fair dosage of randomly spewed crap from the course manager’s asshole (or mouth, i can’t remember which).

The project is in the final stages (documentation week) and we still haven’t resolved the resource problem (7 computers to 9 students, hello?). And what is the point of having a ’specialised MP lab’ if we have to go to OTHER labs to use up-to-date software? If that is what the school prefer we do, why don’t those assclowns just let us work from home? Isn’t it the same as using another lab since we won’t be physically present in the oh so special lab anyway? It’s not even anywhere near fantastic because the ’special’, ‘hi-tech’, ‘advanced’ computer junkyard that those dicks call a lab don’t even have microsoft paint installed.

‘Competency unit’ indeed. There are 8 computers and 2 laptops in my house, and each of them is better than those crap you can find in TP. Hell, even the internet connection in my house is so much better. For a relatively huge school, 3mbps (more like 300kbps) is a really damn FAST. And not to mention the monstrous amount of bandwidth allocated.

Peter Choy is famous for spawning some random bullshit which he hasn’t the slightest idea what he’s saying. For example, the Maya crap which we were supposed to work on last year. When the lab’s almost ALWAYS occupied by those noobcock freshmen playing dota (and sucking at it for that matter) or other Maya classes, he ’solves’ the problem for us by telling us to do our project using the PLE (Personal Learning Edition). Which is great, except that 90% of the features cannot be used, and the file can’t be read on the official version anyway. It’s like i just finished writing an essay and your cockshit handwriting scanner can’t recognise english.

When software/hardware availability becomes an issue, the school will always take the cheap way out, telling us to do something ridiculous (like BUYING our own macs for a 10 week, oops, a 7 week major project) or something fucking retarded (scrap the project, join another one). It’s not like it’s not sucky enough having to put up with these shit, now we need another ambassador of filth to come brainwashing us with even more shit and giving some totally spastic solutions (solutions may not be the correct word to use, but fuck it).

This is just the first (probably not, but who gives a damn) of many more TP rants to come. And you thought your school was fucked up. Join TP. TPRawks.

Breakfast

Met her for breakfast this morning. Initial plan was to go yoshinoya, but it wasn’t open yet, so we headed to LJS.

I had a reasonably good impression of LJS the last time we went there, cause the tea was fantastic. Today, it was an utter disappointment.

The tea was bland and the water was not even hot. And there was a 15 minutes difference between the arrival of our food, which makes me wonder if the ‘big fish’ was freshly made.

Exchanging the tea was not a pleasant experience at all. Being in this line myself, i know what it feels like when someone wants to exchange a drink/whatever it is. So i cut straight to the point and said i wanted to change the drink. Apparently, the cashier was rather reluctant to serve me.

Her reply hinted that it was not the problem with the tea, but it was me.

She grudgingly got me two new cups of tea and turned away hastily without a word, nor apologising for the mediocre quality of the previous serving. When i asked for 4 packets of sugar, she, with a sulking look on her face, grabbed a few packets and put them in front of me without even looking up (looking at the floor all this while) and then turning away pretending to be really busy when there aren’t any other customers around.

Moments later, when i returned for stirrers, she also placed them on the tray in front of me without looking up.

All of this pissed me off big time. I had been polite all these while, saying please, excuse me, thank you etc, and there wasnt a hint of apology for the crap quality of food they serve. But i kept my mouth shut.

Not too long after we were back into our meal, the air-conditioning turned on at full blast. Holy fucking shit?

I wanted to ask them to turn it down, but the probability that they did not have control over the air conditioning prompted me not to do so.

I’m so not going back there for quite some time.

And it officially marks the 2nd unpleasant experience i had at LJS. (i posted the first on my previous blog, so i might repost it here when i have the time tonight)

Temasek Polytechnic

is a very fucked up place.

First of all, all other shit aside. This post will focus mainly on my MP so far.

My group (I will not identify them here) was tasked to do an iPhone game (wtf?) for our MP (Major Project). First and foremost, the iPhone is not even released in Singapore yet. Who’s shit idea was it to do this “exploratory” project?

Secondly, as if being tasked with a shitty project isn’t bad enough, we are expected to do them without proper hardware / software? To TP: if you want to give students shitty assignments, at least make sure there is adequete assets to complete them. It has been the same with most of my subjects, but this time it’s really over the limit. If you want us to do an iPhone project, at least FUCKING GIVE US AN iPHONE AND PROPER MACS* (read: intel macs with leopard installed, not just any of those old shits you have in the storeroom lab) to do our project.

* The iPhone SDK requires an intel mac running leopard, assholes.

My inconclusive conclusion is that TP’s whoever-it-is likes to generate random cockshit projects and just throw them at us, without providing enough hardware or equipment to complete the task. Worse still, when the issue is raised to the Course Director, all he can offer is “We will tell the marker to lower their standards then.”.

First, FUCK YOU. Moving on, what kind of shit school makes excuses like this? It’s not like they aren’t earning enough from exorbitant school fees, and they are giving us shit in return? It’s the same as SBS (next post, i promise.) always giving crap in return for insane charges.

All corporations and education institutes in Singapore are crap and nowhere near the “World Class” standards Lee Kuan Yew made them sound like.

Ok, so after all my digression, my MP supervisor just told us that the MP will be scrapped. This is total bullshit. We are already halfway into the MP and it has to be scrapped just because the school cannot give us proper Macs to work with. Next time, if you cannot even afford computers, don’t come up with such shitty modules.

Fuck Temasek Polytechnic. If I had known earlier I would rather study in an ITE. At least they don’t give their students this kind of “no hardware” shit.
